Essential Services

In addition to meals and the same core services provided through the Renewal Project -- the Angels program provides extended case management tailored specifically for each of our homeless Guests with a physical and/or mental disability.

About 17% of those we help each year are served through the Angels program.  These homeless Guests are the most vulnerable -- and typically
chronically homeless.

Through extended case management, essential services can include:
  • Assisting them with applying for public benefits to which they are entitled
  • Assisting our homeless Guests with access to food, housing, transportation and substance abuse treatment as needed
  • Helping to connect them with other services that can help lead to their stability

Guest Highlights

Joe Nunez is deeply grateful to Crossroads, and program director Emily McIver.  For years he had unstable housing, and forced to sleep in the woods for periods of time ...even during cold winters.

Emily helped him secure his disability benefits, and after years on a waiting list Crossroads paid his first month's rent and deposit to enable him to move into a safe, clean, and HUD-subsidized retirement community.  Now Joe has stable housing -- in a warm, comfortable and affordable apartment.
